Olympic National Park.

The plan was to go back and explore Mt. Rainier in more detail, but at some point I realized I was a little “mountained out” and wanted to see the ocean. So I opted for Olympic National Park. It is an enormous park and I thought we could see most of it in one day if we started out early and got home late…ha! We started out at Hurricane Ridge, stopped at Salt Creek Campground, Rialto Beach, Ruby Beach, and watched the sunset at one of the numbered beaches, and didn’t even get to see the Rainforest. I suppose that means we’ll just have to go back.

all hasselblad except the last one which was the pentax 6×7, kodak ektar and fuji 400h

  1. Some of my favorites ever.

Rosie looks like she is having a hell of a good time exploring all these parks

  3. oh how I love the northern coast. I enjoy the coast pictures so much. Both the mountains and the ocean have such relaxing qualities though.

  4. My husband and I went to Olympic several years ago with the same assumption you had. “Surely we can see this whole park! It’s 6am! We have all day!” We ended up mesmerized by the clouds boiling up over Hurricane Ridge and then went for an chilly swim at the beach. Never even saw the rainforest. 🙂
