The first fog.

The fog here in Tacoma, and I suppose most of the Pacific Northwest, is so different than what I’ve experienced in fog before. It sticks around much longer and you can watch as it rises and falls, exposing different parts of the scene as it changes. It is truly spectacular. This was my first venture out into the fog with my cameras and I caught it at the perfect time to watch the whole sequence unfold. In the shots below you can see the difference in the two bridge shots as it becomes more visible.

I’ve been waiting to send and get all the film back from this day for awhile now, shot back in October. I shot this across two rolls on the hasselblad (reala 100 and 400h) and one on the f100 (I’m not sure of the film). I’ve got some work to do in learning how to expose properly for fog.
